Over the course of his travels and assignments, Eddie Sanderson has accumulated a wealth of impressive images, which he owns. Such unusual experiences and eclectic portfolio are cause to further pursue his creative talent. As a result, his company is launching a line of " Watam i " cards.

Utilizing his images - two (one square photo on the front of the card is an abstract portion of the full inside image ) - the reader is required to draw from his/her own imagination to guess what the cover image really is, until it is finally revealed in the inside enlargement. Hence the name:
" Watam i " to reflect the guessing game.
The curiosity factor generated by the " Watam i " card(s) is an incentive for the consumer to pick the card amongst many others on display. The elements of surprise and satisfaction when looking into the card, accompanied by a distinctively beautiful or humoristic image, are incentives to purchase that one card over others. In short, Product Differentiation, Quality and Perceived Value are all present to translate into purchases regardless of the nationality, age group or occasion/reason to shop given the wide spectrum of Eddie Sanderson's photography to choose from.

We have tested the " Watam i" cards concept while exhibiting images at the California Gift Show. We were strongly encouraged to formally present the idea to card companies for open discussion and determine the next steps. This conceptual display of cards intends to follow suit on judicious advice received directly from within the industry. |
